If there's one thing that can instantly elevate the joy and excitement of a wedding, it's confetti! As a Perth wedding celebrant, I've seen firsthand how this simple tradition can add an extra dash of magic to your special day. But there's an art to throwing confetti that ensures you capture the perfect moment for your cherished wedding album. Here are a few of my best tips I always share with guests to make sure that confetti moment is picture-perfect:

1. Stand up to throw: Confetti is all about celebration, so don't be shy! Stand up and get ready to toss it with gusto. This not only ensures better distribution but also adds to the overall festive atmosphere.

2. Throw it up high: Want to create a stunning visual effect? Aim high when throwing your confetti. This allows the confetti to flutter gracefully down, creating a mesmerizing shower of color and joy.

3. Throw it as the couple walk past you, not after: Timing is everything when it comes to confetti. As the newlyweds make their way past you, seize the moment and shower them with confetti. This ensures that you capture their genuine reactions and emotions, adding authenticity to your photos.

4. If you aren't given confetti to throw, don't throw anything else 😉: While confetti is the preferred choice for celebrating weddings, it's essential to respect the rules of the venue. If confetti isn't provided or permitted, resist the temptation to throw anything else. Let's keep the environment tidy and the focus on the happy couple!

5. $50 notes are the exception to Tip 4 😅: Okay, I'll admit, there's one exception to the rule about not throwing anything else—$50 notes! Just kidding, but wouldn't that be a sight to behold? Stick to confetti or other eco-friendly alternatives like rose petals or bubbles for a magical moment that won't break the bank.

Remember, confetti isn't just about creating stunning photos—it's about spreading joy and celebrating love. So, embrace the tradition, follow these tips, and get ready to capture memories that will last a lifetime. Let's make your wedding day sparkle with confetti magic! 🎉✨
